How to use the Drawing Challenge Wheel

  1. 1.Choose a difficulty level: Easy for simpler prompts, Challenge for more complex ones, or All for the full library.
  2. 2.Press Spin All to spin all three wheels at once, or click each wheel individually to spin just that one.
  3. 3.Lock any result you want to keep. Locked results stay the same when you spin again. You can only lock a wheel after it has a result.
  4. 4.Enable the optional color challenge to get three named colors. Try to use only those colors in your drawing.
  5. 5.Set a timer if you want to draw against the clock. The timer does not start automatically — press Start when you are ready.
  6. 6.Copy your prompt to share it, or browse recent challenges in the history list.

Ways to use it

Solo drawing

Spin for a prompt, set a 5-minute timer, and see what you can create. Use the color challenge to push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Family activity

Spin one prompt for everyone, then compare your drawings. Try the Easy difficulty for younger artists or Challenge for older kids and adults.

Classroom activity

Project the wheel, spin for a prompt, and let students draw independently or in pairs. The timer keeps the activity on schedule.

Features explained

Locks

Lock a wheel to keep its result when you spin again. You can only lock a wheel after it has a result. If all three wheels are locked, Spin All is unavailable — unlock at least one to continue.

Difficulty

Easy uses simpler subjects, settings, and constraints. Challenge adds more complex or imaginative elements. All uses the full library of 42 subjects, 25 settings, and 25 constraints.

Color challenge

When enabled, three distinct named colors are selected from a curated palette. Color names are shown alongside swatches so they are understandable without relying on color alone. Lock the palette to keep the same colors, or reroll for new ones. For a standalone color picker, try the Color Wheel.

Timer

Choose from 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or a custom duration between 30 seconds and 1 hour. The timer uses timestamp-based calculation so it stays accurate even if the tab is backgrounded. Sound is optional and can be toggled off.
